Well beyond 14 days after the tragic deaths of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community continue to honor the pair.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt able to share openly about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has gone by that I can finally express my sorrow into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his initial encounter with Reiner made him fall in love. "Once we started spending more time together I understood this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor uploaded archival material from the movie, commenting that he doesn't recollect "one day without joy".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob held dear. This is one of the many reasons he was the perfect person to guide it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, noting: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I remember you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Friend and Collaborator

In a separate piece, legendary director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the protagonist.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he comprehended the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese noted.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Sealed

A court order put a restriction on the investigation to limit the public release of "all case details, evidence and photographs" associated with the ongoing investigation.

The Medical Examiner's office had already determined their deaths were the outcome of foul play, with a official listing noting the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".
