Barça Set to Play First Game at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday

Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Bilbao team in the Spanish league 30 months after they moved out to allow renovations to start.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced finished work included a renovated tunnel for players along with upgraded changing facilities.

Recent Activities

Barça organized a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium in early November. Officials stated they are seeking authorization by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture facing Eintracht in December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
